(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Thursday, May 1, has resulted in a fatality.

According to CSPD, on Thursday, at around 4:30 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of I-25 and West Bijou Street about a traffic crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. Members of the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) and AMR provided medical care to all people involved, three were taken to the hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to life-threatening.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the driver of the motorcycle succumbed to their injuries. The Major Crash Team was contacted and responded to take over the investigation, which is continuing.
