(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is currently responding to a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash on Academy Boulevard that has closed the northbound lanes.

According to CSPD, a call came in at around 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23. Police reported that the rider was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Northbound Academy is down to one lane at San Miguel Street, and Southbound Academy is fully open.

CSPD is asking individuals to avoid the area for the next couple of hours.
