(PEYTON, Colo.) — The Peyton Fire Protection District said fire crews from various agencies responded to a structure fire in the early morning hours of Monday, March 25.

Peyton Fire posted Monday on Facebook at around 6 a.m. that it was responding to the fire on Hanks Grove. Crews were joined by Calhan, Falcon, Black Forest, and Ellicott fire departments.

In the same social media post, crews responded to a comment and confirmed that the fire was contained to a veterinary clinic office and that nearby stables were fine. Peyton Fire added that crews would remain on the scene, warning that people can expect to see smoke in the area.
