(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said crews are making good progress on the fire. The public is still asked to avoid the area while crews work toward containment.

Northbound 30th Street is now closed at Mesa Road.

Watch Duty is reporting a two-acre vegetation fire near Garden of the Gods.

The fire is located near North 30th Street and Garden of the Gods Road. According to Watch Duty, the fire is in light, flashy fuels.
According to an X post by CSPD Communications, North 30th Street is closed at Garden of the Gods Road.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department is on the scene and battling the fire. Individuals are asked to avoid the area.
