(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) reported that a fire under the Tejon bridge at I-25 on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 22 is under control, but is causing road closures in the area.

At approximately 3:40 p.m. Thursday, CSFD reported on X (formerly known as Twitter) that fire crews were on the scene of a large wood pile fire under Tejon at I-25. CSFD says the fire is under control but is deep-seated.

CSFD said due to the fire, the northbound on-ramp from Tejon to I-25 is closed.

Crews are asking drivers to avoid the area and be aware of a hose on the road and firefighters working in the area.
