(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Thursday, Feb. 6 the Colorado Springs Fire Department(CSFD) will hold a town hall to answer questions about wildfire preparedness.
CSFD said the recent wildfires in California have prompted questions about Colorado Springs’ preparedness. CSFD wants to hold a community meeting to address those questions and help educate the community on wildfire preparedness.
The town hall will be held at the CSFD’s Admin building located at 375 Printers Parkway on Feb. 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The town hall will feature experts from CSFD, Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management, Colorado Springs Utilities, El Paso-Teller 911 Authority, and the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Experts will give a short presentation on preparedness, response, and evacuation as it relates to wildfires. The community is encouraged to submit questions before the meeting along with questions being accepted during the town hall.
The town hall will be available to the community in person and live-streamed.
