(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Saturday, June 8 the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) will host its Inaugural Open House and Citizen Awards event as part of Mayor Yemi Mobolade’s 1,000 Neighborhood Gatherings initiative.

The event will feature demonstrations from CSFD’s High Angle Rescue, HAZMAT, Heavy Rescue Crews, and Special Operations Drone, along with static and interactive displays from all divisions of the CSFD.

The event will also include a recognition of community members who have gone above and beyond to assist their neighbors and community.

CSFD said the event will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the CSFD headquarters located at 375 Printers Parkway.
