(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a person with “significant injuries” in rough terrain at North Cheyenne Cañon.
CSFD posted about the high angle rescue just after 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. CSFD said crews were with the person, though reaching them with emergency equipment was difficult due to rough terrain with “several access issues,” CSFD said.
CSFD said high angle and drone crews responded and were able to locate the person, and they are working to get the injured person down the trail. CSFD asks the community to avoid the area and allow crews to work.
