(COLORADO SPRINGS) —The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a structure fire south of Motor City and is asking the community to avoid the area.

CSFD posted about the fire shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday, July 12, and said crews were on scene fighting a “well involved” structure fire in the 70 block of Haney Road, in a neighborhood northwest of I-25 and Lake Avenue.

CSFD said a second alarm has been called, and urged the public to avoid the area to allow crews to respond.
