CSPD arrests suspect in neck stabbing incident

(COLORADO) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrested a 42-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed another in the neck.

At around 11:43 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, officers were dispatched to 2400 Union Boulevard on a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police found one victim with a non-life-threatening knife wound to his neck.

A short time later, police found the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were known associates, and the disturbance started in a nearby bar before moving into the parking lot.

The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Phillip Conner, was charged with first-degree assault and transported and booked into the El Paso County Jail on Friday morning, July 25.
