CSPD: Homeless camp victim stabbed in back, will recover

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a report of a stabbing in a homeless camp on Friday, July 12, around 10:30 p.m., though the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

According to CSPD, officers arrived at a location in the 3700 block of Astrozon Boulevard, near South Academy Boulevard, and found a victim located in a homeless camp on the west side of the street. The victim had a stab wound to his lower back, though the injury was not life-threatening.

Officers were unable to locate the scene of the incident or any witnesses, as the victim was uncooperative. A suspect has not been identified.
