CSPD: Man arrested for throwing rocks at firemen, police

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man was arrested for throwing rocks at firemen and police after emergency personnel responded to a shots fired call on Sunday, Aug. 18, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD said that officers responded to the 1200 block of Potter Drive, near Galley Road and North Academy Boulevard around midnight, for a report of a possible shooting. While officers were in the area, a man who was not involved with the call for service began throwing rocks at officers and fire department personnel. No officers or firefighters were hit by the rocks.

The man fled on foot and officers chased him and took him into custody, according to CSPD.
