(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is seeking the community’s help in identifying a man who entered a home in the Briargate area while a family was home and exposed himself to a minor before running away.
According to CSPD, around 10 p.m. on Friday, April 5, officers responded to a reported burglary at a home near Wimbleton Court and Lexington Drive, near John Venezia Park. The investigation revealed that an unknown man entered the home through an unlocked basement door around 8:20 p.m. that night, exposed himself to the minor in the home, and then ran away.
CSPD said the suspect is described as an average-height man with short dark hair. He was reportedly wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and pants with dark-colored shoes. The Crimes Against Children (CAC) Unit responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
