CSPD: Naked man reported attempting break-ins, arrested for burglary

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Saturday, May 17, officers responded to an in-progress burglary in Old Colorado City. Later reports indicated that a naked man was trying to break into homes in the area.

According to CSPD, around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a home in the 1400 block of West Pikes Peak Avenue, near 14th Street in Old Colorado City, where an unknown suspect was reported to have illegally entered the home and was causing damage.

CSPD reported that when officers arrived and were clearing the home, multiple calls came in reporting a naked man trying to break into homes a couple of blocks over on the 1300 block of West Colorado Avenue. Officers responded to the second location and found the suspect, who had broken into a closed business. The suspect was identified as Chad Orr.

Orr was taken into custody and chared with burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
