(COLORADO SPRINGS) — An officer from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was patrolling in the 2400 block of East Monument Street, east of North Union Boulevard, on Sunday, Oct. 26, around 7 a.m., when he discovered a silver BMW that belonged to an alleged violent felon, leading to an arrest.
According to CSPD, the suspect, who had multiple felony domestic violence charges against him, had gone into a home in the area and was potentially barricaded. Officers set up containment, and Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) officers responded to the address with a search warrant.
TEU officers ordered anyone in the home to come out, and the victim and an innocent bystander both came out. CSPD reported that the suspect later came out and was arrested without incident.
