(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has issued a shelter-in-place alert on Thursday, Nov. 11, around 5 p.m., for the area around North Academy Boulevard and Voyager Parkway, near the La Quinta Inn, urging people to avoid the area and stay indoors as officers search for a wanted person.

According to Peak Alerts, people are asked to stay out of the area until further notice, and those in the area are asked to stay indoors away from windows and doors.

CSPD officers are actively working to find the person with the warrant and are asking people to shelter in place for their safety.
