(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A person died after they were apparently run over by a bus in southwest Colorado Springs on Thursday, Feb. 27, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

CSPD said the incident happened just before noon on Thursday at the intersection of Bob Johnson Drive and Willwood Road, near The Broadmoor World Arena.

When officers arrived, they determined that the pedestrian was run over by a bus and was pronounced dead on the scene. The Major Crash Team responded and continues to investigate.

According to CSPD, neither speed nor alcohol are involved in the investigation.
