CSPD: Potter Drive shooting suspect turns himself in

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Sunday, May 25, Deomni Myers turned himself in to police in connection with the shooting that occurred the night before on Potter Drive that injured six people. He is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder.

According to CSPD, officers responded to what was reported as an “active shooter” incident around 10:12 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, at the 1400 block of Potter Drive, near the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and Palmer Park Boulevard. Six people were injured and taken to the hospital, one of whom was in critical condition.

CSPD reported that one victim remains in critical condition but is stable, and the other victims are stable.
