(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a rollover crash on the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 20.

At around 9 a.m., the Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center received 911 calls regarding a crash at the intersection of Pro Rodeo Drive and South Rockrimmon Boulevard. The crash involved two vehicles, and one had rolled over.

CSPD said one of the involved drivers fled from the scene on foot.

While officers investigated the accident and also attempting to locate the driver who fled, an owner of one of the involved vehicles came to the scene and told officers that the vehicle had been stolen. CSPD said that was determined to not be the case.

The driver who fled was identified and will be cited at a later time. No serious injuries were reported.
