(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is actively investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another hospitalized early Sunday morning on Dec. 2.

Just before 3 a.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Musket Drive near I-25 and East Cheyenne Road, where they found a man dead on the scene.

CSPD says they also found another man with gunshot wounds who had to be transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The Violent Crimes Homicide Unit responded to take over the investigation. There is no known threat to the community and all parties involved are accounted for, according to police.
