CSPD: Suspects threatened others with a gun

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a suspect threatened those living in the 4200 block of Galley Road west of North Murray Boulevard in the evening hours of Monday, Aug. 12.

CSPD said on Monday at around 10:30 p.m., officers were called to a disturbance on Galley Road. Officers learned a suspect identified as Nicholas Shores had allegedly threatened those in the area with a gun and then retreated into an apartment.

CSPD officers set up containment and issued a shelter-in-place for the area, some apartments were also evacuated. Shores did not exit the apartment at the request of officers, and a search warrant and arrest warrant was granted for Shore’s apartment.

CSPD’s TEU responded and helped in getting Shores out of the apartment where he was taken into custody without incident. The suspected firearm was recovered in the apartment, according to CSPD.
