(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Tuesday, April 22, with the help of El Paso County Sheriff’s Department’s (EPSO) SWAT, a search warrant was executed that led to the recovery of firearms stolen from an “at-risk” victim.
According to CSPD, the search warrant came about after an investigation searching for the stolen firearms that led officers to a home in the 1200 block of Yosemite Drive, near South Circle Drive, and East Fountain Boulevard. They also had been informed that there may be two people with felony warrants at the location, one of whom was wanted for sex assault and another for violent crimes.
When law enforcement carried out the search warrant, around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, they recovered three of the stolen firearms and found evidence that a gun had been fired in the home at some point. No suspects were arrested.
