(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) joined forces with Toys for Toys and the Police Foundation of Colorado Springs to host its fourth annual Holiday on the Hill.
The community gathered on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Gold Hill Division to enjoy some hot cocoa, s’mores, and see various static displays of police vehicles. Southern Colorado families also had a chance to take a photo with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
“We’ve been doing this for the past four years and it keeps getting bigger and bigger,” said Lt. Jason Newton. “It’s just an opportunity for us to give back to the community that supports us and we get a chance to interact with people in a positive light and bring some of that holiday spirit to our officers and to the community.”
Every kid also received a new toy from Santa.
