(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers were dispatched to a shooting near the intersection of Academy Boulevard and Platte Avenue around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, that resulted in two people injured.

CSPD said that the person who reported the shooting indicated that someone in a vehicle fired at another vehicle while both were driving down the road. As officers responded to the scene, two victims were transported to the hospital.

According to CSPD, the victims suffered gunshot wounds, but neither had life-threatening injuries. Detectives from the Assault Unit took over the investigation, which is still ongoing at this time.
