(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said an officer found two minors injured after police said they were riding on the outside of a vehicle while it was in motion in the overnight hours of Tuesday, June 4.
According to CSPD, on Tuesday at around 2 a.m. an officer was driving south in the 900 block of North Nevada Avenue near East Cache La Poudre Street when he found two injured minors in the roadway.
Police’s investigation revealed the two minors had been riding on the outside of a vehicle being driven by another minor and while the vehicle was in motion the two minors fell off and were injured.
CSPD said one minor sustained bodily injury and the other sustained serious bodily injury. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody for the incident. The southbound lanes of N. Nevada Ave. were closed during the investigation but later reopened.
