(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Nursing Students at CSU Pueblo are hosting a community baby shower on June 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Praise Assembly, located at 2000 Troy Avenue for expecting parents and families.
The 14th annual baby shower is hosted by the University. “This is kind of in conjunction with our Global Health Course, and it’s just one way that we try to give back to our community in Pueblo,” Natasha Bowman, one of the nursing students said of the event.
The community baby shower is still accepting donations from the community, and the biggest need is diapers and formula.
The event is for “expecting parents or caregivers with kids,” said Gabriel Saren, a nursing student, “really anyone who is in need of these types of items in the community.”
Those in attendance can expect not just supplies to care for their child but also an opportunity to connect with vendors and participate in a raffle. “Everybody can leave with something in their hand that they hopefully need for the family,” Saren noted.
