(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Pueblo School District 60 (D60) is inviting all students and families to a Back-to-School Bash on Thursday, Aug. 7.
With the new school year beginning for D60 on Tuesday, Aug. 19, this event aims to help students and families kick off the year prepared. The Back to School Bash will feature free supplies and over 30 booths.
Some other things individuals can expect include:
Free haircuts, vaccines, and dental screenings.
Food trucks with options for purchase.
Face painting and giveaways.
Community partners will share valuable information and services.
“Everyone who attends will be entered into prize drawings throughout the evening for commemorative items such as season passes to athletic events, team autographed footballs, Bluetooth speakers, and other exciting gifts,” D60 wrote.
Some of the community partners that will be on-site include all 29 D60 schools and support departments, the Pueblo Police Department, CSU Pueblo, and more.
Attendees will also be able to enjoy a live DJ and special performances by the high school cheerleaders, dance teams, school mascots, and more. Students will also have the chance to sign a pledge to miss no more than three days of school.
The bash will take place on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dutch Clark Stadium.
