(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs is about to get a new restaurant on March 1. Daddy’s Chicken Shack opens at 7 Spectrum Loop, off Voyager in Northgate. The new location is the second to open in Colorado, though 20 more are planned across the state.
Daddy’s Chicken Shack emphasizes an elevated, chef-driven menu, tech-enabled operations, and unique flavor profiles for its success. Their menu features popular items such as Chicken and Waffles, a funnel-cake style waffle served with crispy pressure-cooked or grilled chicken and maple syrup, and the Nashville Daddy Sandwich, with a choice of chicken styles from mild to extra hot, sweet creamy slaw, house-made pickles, and remoulade sauce served on a brioche bun. Sides include salads and seasoned or loaded fries.

The new restaurant is a franchise owned and operated by Kerry and Lori Dunn, a husband-and-wife team who have a wide array of experience in real estate, something they share with the founder of Daddy’s Chicken Shack, Dave Liniger, who created the RE/MAX business model. Dennis (DJ) Valdez will act as General Manager for the new restaurant location and brings 24 years of management in the restaurant industry with him.
The official grand opening will take place on the weekend of March 15, two weeks after Daddy’s Chicken Shack opens its doors. Celebrations begin with a ribbon-cutting with city officials and are followed up by a week of fun. Special promotions feature a reusable Daddy’s Chicken Shack cup, branded merch, coupons, and stickers while supplies last. On Saturday, March 16th, the restaurant will also host a fundraiser in support of The Classical Academy’s Titan Club.
