(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Delays are expected on I-25 southbound near the MLK Bypass exit due to a semi truck leaking fuel onto the road, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD).
CSFD posted on social media just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11 and said one lane of southbound I-25 is closed just north of the MLK Bypass exit, and first responders are present.
CSFD said Hazmat crews were also on scene, and were using pools to catch the diesel fuel and transfer it to barrels. The truck has lost about 20 gallons, CSFD said.
Traffic impacts are expected for at least an hour. CSFD urged drivers to use caution and watch for crews if you have to travel in the area.
