Denver Broncos vs. New York Giants: TV channel, time, what to know

DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Broncos had a historic performance against the New York Jets in the team’s game in London last Sunday, and they’re back in the Mile High City this weekend.

Despite an iron-wall defensive display, the Broncos snuck away with a win after taking the lead through a field goal late in the fourth quarter, bringing the score to 13-11.

Key things to know for Broncos vs. Giants

Nix coasting along

The Broncos’ offense has strung together a couple of moments of firepower, but for the most part, they look unconvincing.

Quarterback Bo Nix has not exploded into his sophomore season like some thought would happen, but after a shaky first game, he has righted his course and is putting up some solid numbers.

He is around the middle of the pack in most categories, with stats, including:

1,277 passing yards

6.2 yards per attempt

133/206 attempts

64.6% pass completion

9 touchdown passes

4 interceptions

There hasn’t been anything to raise alarms over, but nothing to celebrate either. If he can convert around the Red Zone a bit more frequently, things should be fine.

We’ve got a runner

The Broncos haven’t had a run game for a few years.

Bringing in J.K. Dobbins over the offseason has brought another dimension to the Broncos’ offense.

You would have to go all the way back to 2021 to find a Broncos running back in the top 25 rushers that season. Javonte Williams ran for 903 yards that year.

Opposing teams only needed to have one objective. Stop the Broncos’ passing game, then win.

J.K. Dobbins’ addition means that defenses are kept honest and have to scheme against the run. He currently ranks with the seventh-most total rushing yards, 442, in the NFL and has four rushing touchdowns.

Elite defense

The Broncos’ defense was expected to be one of the best heading into the 2025 season. NFL analysts placed them behind the No. 2 Los Angeles Chargers and the No. 1 Philadelphia Eagles.

Now heading into Week 7, the Broncos might have ascended to the top of those rankings, and a historic performance against the Jets showcased that on a frightening level.

The Broncos held the Jets to -10 passing yards and a meager 92 total yards.

The defensive unit leads the NFL in Red Zone scoring, third down and sacks, with 30 as a team, 10 more than the second-place team.

They have the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, the best pass rusher in the NFL at the moment, Nik Bonitto, back-to-back AFC Defensive Player of the Week and the possible return of Dre Greenlaw, who was injured for the start of the season.

Greenlaw and former San Francisco 49ers, now Broncos teammate, Talanoa Hufanga are expected to bring elite coverage to the Broncos defense, just as they did for the 49ers.
