DENVER (KDVR) — Denver International Airport was experiencing delays for its departures on Sunday evening after a United flight appeared to have made an emergency landing.
Flight UAL2325 took off from Denver at about 7:08 p.m. Sunday and landed again at the same airport at about 8:21 p.m. on Sunday. The flight was supposed to land at Edmonton International Airport in Alberta, Canada.
The Federal Aviation Administration posted at 7:45 p.m. that departures from DIA were delayed on average by 15 minutes due to a runway emergency.
DIA confirmed to FOX31 at about 8:45 p.m. that the plane made an emergency landing, and that no one was hurt.
A United Airlines spokesperson told FOX31 that the plane turned around to address a possible wildlife strike. The airline provided a “new aircraft” to ensure customers made it to Edmonton as planned.
United also confirmed the plane was a Boeing 737-800 that had 153 passengers on board and six crew members. No one was injured.
