(WOODLAND PARK, Colo.) — The Woodland Park Police Department is looking for community assistance in identifying a motorcyclist who officers said was seen driving over 100 mph on Highway 24.
According to a Facebook post, around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, officers observed someone on a motorcycle “in excess of 100 mph, splitting lanes and driving recklessly west on Highway 24 from the county line.”
Officers and Teller County deputies made multiple attempts to stop the motorcyclist, chasing the suspect through Divide and back east through town.
Police report that the motorcyclist ignored multiple red lights and nearly caused multiple crashes during the chase. The department also confirms that felony charges will be filed when the suspect is identified, but there were no visible license plates on the bike.
Woodland Park police request that anyone who recognizes the motorcycle or the gear worn by the rider pictured above contact them at (719) 687-9262, and that callers may remain anonymous if desired.
