(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs said starting on Monday, Nov. 10, East Las Vegas Street will be closed while crews construct a permanent concrete barrier to protect the Circle Drive bridge pier.
According to the City, the closure starting on Monday is expected to last about two weeks with work on Saturdays and Sundays. The road work is part of the Circle Drive bridges project, replacing the old bridges built in 1963.
Those driving north should use Highway 85 North/Venetucci Boulevard to Circle Drive to access alternative routes. Southbound traffic can access Janitell Road, finding alternate routes through Circle Drive.
The City said the construction is weather-dependent and the schedule could change, street signage and the project hotline at (719) 428-7090 will reflect the latest schedule information.
