EGYM program at YMCA of Pueblo offers personalized AI workouts

(PUEBLO, Colo.) —The YMCA of Pueblo has launched a new fitness program called EGYM, which uses artificial intelligence to customize workouts for its members.

The EGYM program features state-of-the-art circuit workout machines that adjust to each user’s height and weight, providing a personalized fitness experience. The entire circuit can be completed in 22 minutes, and the YMCA recommends doing it twice for optimal results.

“As soon as you get on board [the machine], it’s going to be really straightforward. So it takes out all the guesswork of working out,” said Rylee Lile, membership retention and wellness director at the YMCA.

Members use an EGYM wristband to interact with the machines, which holds their profile and training program. This technology aims to make workouts more efficient and accessible, especially for those who might be intimidated by traditional gym settings.

The YMCA highlights that the system is designed to reduce gym crowding by guiding users through a timed workout, minimizing wait times for equipment.

“You go through the timing, and then it gives you transition time to move to the next machine. So that should hopefully prevent any backlog or any people standing around and waiting,” Lile explained.

The program is particularly beneficial for older generations and newcomers to fitness, as it makes personal goals like bio-age and weight more accessible. “Once you get this flow in here, it gives you a lot of knowledge on how you can apply it outside of the machines,” Lile added.

The onboarding process costs $49, with an additional $10 monthly program fee added to the gym membership. Interested individuals can sign up online or visit the Pueblo YMCA.

The introduction of EGYM at the YMCA of Pueblo offers a modern and personalized approach to fitness, aiming to make exercise more accessible and efficient for all members. With its AI-driven customization, the program is set to enhance the workout experience while reducing gym congestion.
