(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Board of Commissioners is looking for a citizen volunteer to serve on the El Paso County Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB). Applications are due by Friday, June 14.
The advisory board needs one new member who currently resides in the county and is able to represent County Commissioner District 1.
The CDAB reviews matters of importance regarding the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and makes recommendations to the Board of the El Paso County Commissioners concerning community development issues and the use of CDBG funds.
In 2009, El Paso County became an ‘entitlement community’ and was awarded a CDBG grant to carry out a range of community development activities directed toward revitalizing neighborhoods, economic development, and providing improved community facilities and services.
The application can be found here or on the El Paso County website.
Meetings for the board are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. (as necessary) at the Economic Development Office at 9 East Vermijo.
