(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The community has a chance to see some of the best zoo lights in America at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s (CMZoo) Electric Safari.
USA TODAY’S 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards has named Electric Safari one of its top three Best Zoo Lights in the U.S. This is the third year in a row the lights made it onto the best of the best list.

Each year, CMZoo prepares the mountainside with thousands of lights. This year, attendees can expect more than 50 acres of twinkling lights, 90+ hand-made light sculptures, giant illuminated animal inflatables, a holiday-safari drone show, plus nighttime city views from the side of the mountain.
The lights are free for CMZoo members, and tickets can be bought online.
Electric Safari opened on Friday, Dec. 6, and will be on for twenty-six nights until Wednesday, Jan. 1.
