(ELLICOTT, Colo.) — The Superintendent said a cracked pipe in the sewer system has caused the closure of Ellicott School District 22 (D22) on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
A flash alert sent at 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24 said that D22 would be closed to all students and staff due to sewer issues, while after-school activities were still planned.
In an email sent to FOX21 D22 Superintendent Chris Smith said the issue was due to a cracked pipe in the lift station for the sewer system and that the company that owns and operates the station is working to get it fixed.
