(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) announced that Deputy Hannah Unitis will represent Colorado in the upcoming Ms. United States National Pageant being held from Nov. 1 to Nov. 4 in Las Vegas.
Deputy Unitis has served with EPSO since February 2022 and is currently assigned to the Detention Bureau, working in Court Services. She is a member of the Peer Support Team and was recently recognized as Deputy of the Month by the Colorado Springs East Rotary Club.
Deputy Unitis earned the state title in June 2025. EPSO said Deputy Unitis demonstrated excellence in both public service and community engagement. She also embodies leadership, professionalism, and compassion through her work with the Sheriff’s Office and her commitment to serving others. Deputy Unitis’ selection as Ms. Colorado United States highlights her passion for empowering others, fostering civic involvement, and serving as a role model for women in law enforcement.
“It is an honor to represent Colorado and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office on a national stage,” said Deputy Hannah Unitis. “When I began my law enforcement career, my goal was to make a difference—to help people through their hardest moments and show strength paired with empathy. Competing in Ms. United States gives me the opportunity to share this message with an even larger audience. I want young women, especially those considering careers in public service, to see they can wear the badge with pride, grace, and confidence. We can be both strong and compassionate, and through this balance, we can inspire others to serve their communities with purpose.”
EPSO said the Ms. United States Pageant is a longstanding tradition celebrating women who embody leadership, intelligence, and community spirit. Contestants from across the nation will compete for the crown, showcasing their service, accomplishments, and advocacy platforms.
