(SECURITY-WIDEFIELD, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) is currently investigating a shooting in the Security neighborhood.

At around 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, EPSO reported via X (formerly known as Twitter) that deputies were investigating a shooting in the 7000 block of Dove Creek Circle in the Security neighborhood of unincorporated El Paso County, near Fontaine and South Powers Boulevard.

EPSO said it appears to be an isolated incident and there is no active threat to surrounding areas.
