(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) has released a statement regarding an arrest made on Sept. 12 after a man allegedly tried to break into the sheriff’s office.

On Sept. 12, around 7:30 a.m., deputies received a report about possible damage and vandalism to the main entrance of the Office of the Sheriff at 27 East Vermijo Avenue in downtown Colorado Springs.

According to EPSO, security video showed that around 4:30 that morning, a man tried to force his way into the building. After his attempts were unsuccessful, he allegedly vandalized the building’s security hardware.
