(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Cave of the Winds Mountain Park is offering a new limited-time experience called the Ultraviolet Tour, running Friday through Sunday at 6 p.m. from April 18 to May 11.
Marketing Manager Trip Uhalt and Professor Batty, the park’s resident cave expert, joined FOX21’s Krista Witiak to share more about this unique underground adventure. The Ultraviolet Tour explores the cave using special UV flashlights, revealing glowing minerals and formations not visible during regular tours.
While it’s darker than usual, the tour is not meant to be scary. It’s designed to be educational and fun for all ages, with Professor Batty guiding the way through the glowing formations and cave history.
The tour lasts about an hour and is open to the public on select evenings this spring. For more details or to book a tour, visit CaveoftheWinds.com.
