(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department is reporting a fatal crash on Pueblo’s Southeast side near Northern Avenue.

Pueblo Police told FOX21 News that the crash occurred on Pueblo Boulevard and involved a single vehicle with four passengers. PPD said the car, which they described as an older SUV, crashed into the guard rail in the back of a home. At the moment, PPD could not disclose the number of fatalities.

Pueblo Boulevard is closed from O’Neal Avenue to Vinewood Lane in both directions, and crews will be on the scene for several hours. PPD told FOX21 News that speed and alcohol were likely factors in the crash.

An investigation is ongoing, and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
