FBI, CSPD conduct joint drug investigation

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Denver and the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) teamed up on an operation in Colorado Springs to take drugs off the streets.

Earlier during the week of Monday, Aug. 4, FBI Denver conducted a joint investigation with CSPD. While not many details are being released at the moment about the seizure, the FBI confirmed to FOX21 News that the investigation involved fentanyl.

The FBI was the lead investigative agency in the seizure as it was during Operation Summer Heat.

“FBI Denver is taking drugs off streets in Colorado Springs and other cities thanks to strong partnerships with @CSPDPIO and other local and state agencies,” FBI Denver wrote via X. This is what real public safety looks like. Teamwork saves lives.”
