First of the YMCA’s 5k race series is happening Saturday

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region (Pikes Peak YMCA) is kicking off its 5k race series with the Creepy Crawl 5k on Saturday, Oct. 26. Whether you’re looking to sprint or stroll, it promises to be a scream!

Kate Noonan with the Pikes Peak YMCA is ready to ensure that this race is a boo-tiful success! As the race approaches, Loving Living Local spoke with her about what participants can expect and why this year’s Creepy Crawl is set to be a memorable experience.

Krista Witiak from FOX21 will return as the emcee for this year’s event. It will take place on Saturday, October 26. The vendor village opens at 9 a.m., and the race schedule is as follows: the 5K Run will start at 10:30 a.m., and the Kids’ Monster Dash (free) will begin at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships and financial assistance for the YMCA. This means kids, families, and individuals in our community can join programs, take lessons, and enjoy more activities.
