(COLORADO SPRINGS) — After more than a year and a half of planning and construction, Ford Amphitheater is officially open for its maiden performance featuring OneRepublic, and the weather… could have been better.
A wet and soggy day on Friday, Aug. 9 won’t keep many concertgoers from witnessing the very first performance at Colorado Springs’ newest venue, featuring Springs natives OneRepublic.
“I’m excited because this is one of my favorite bands,” said Ellarae Talbert at the grand opening Friday night. This will be her first concert, Ellarae said, so no amount of typical Colorado weather could keep her away.
The doors officially opened at 6 p.m., and the concert kicks off at 7:30 p.m. with an opening performance by Magic Giant.
