Fort Carson wildfire under investigation, smoke visible in Hanover area

(FORT CARSON, Colo.) — A wildfire on Fort Carson is now 80% contained and 700 acres after it started on a large impact training range on post on Sunday, Feb. 25.

Fort Carson Fire and Emergency personnel will continue to monitor hotspots throughout the day on Monday, Feb. 26. No structures are threatened and smoke will continue to be visible in the Hanover area, along I-25 and Highway 115.

According to Fort Carson, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
