Fort Carson wildland fire impacts training exercises

(FORT CARSON, Colo.) — According to officials at Fort Carson, a fire broke out in the large impact area on Fort Carson around 2 p.m. on Monday, April 15.

The Fort Carson Directorate of Emergency Services Fire Department responded to the fire, which was reported to be approximately 50 acres as of 4 p.m. Some training exercises normally scheduled for that area have been limited in order to give firefighters space to work the fire line.
