Fowler’s four-time wrestling state champ Sharon inspired by late cousin

(FOWLER, Colo.) — Fowler’s Traven Sharon became the 33rd wrestler in Colorado high school history to win his fourth state title on Saturday at Ball Arena.

Sharon dedicated this most recent 2A championship win to his late cousin, Blevyns Brown, who passed away in a car crash on October 15, 2023.

The two, close in age, grew up together, and Sharon says Blevyns’ personality was larger than life.

Sharon will head to the University of Wyoming for both wrestling and rodeo next fall.
