(CUSTER COUNTY, Colo.) — The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) reported that a funnel cloud was spotted near West Mountain Valley subdivision near the landfill south of Westcliffe.
The sheriff’s office shared a photo of the funnel cloud on Wednesday, July 30, around 3:10 p.m.
According to FOX21 News Storm Team Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister, it is clearly evident from the photos and videos that our newsroom has received that this tornado was on the ground. According to CCSO, there has been no damage or debris reported so far.
Deputies are checking for damage or injuries in the area.
