(COLORADO SPRINGS) — FOX21 is excited to welcome Kenny Johnson as the newest face of Loving Living Local, our weekday morning lifestyle show.

Kenny comes to Southern Colorado by way of Minnesota, where he spent the last four years sharing community stories and discovering best-kept secrets. Now, he’s hitting the streets of Colorado Springs — LIVE on Location — to bring you the best of where to eat, shop, explore, and connect.

From local businesses to weekend happenings, Kenny’s goal is to celebrate everything that makes Southern Colorado a great place to live. His favorite part of the job? Being able to discover fun things to do and get into some hilarious situations on-air.

“I’ve been lucky to interview some of the coolest people, like Joey from Love Is Blind this past season! That was back in Duluth on our lifestyle show, The Lift — shout out to everyone there. I did a ton of live content too, including the Minnesota State Fair. I’m really excited to check out this Colorado one… We’ll see what kind of pickle-flavored things they’ve got, because Minnesota has that category stacked,” Kenny said in his introduction.

Outside of work, Kenny is a big supporter of the arts. He says he sometimes lives a double life, being a reporter on TV and being an actor on stage. Kenny has performed in multiple theatrical productions on stage. During his time in Duluth, Kenny was a part of the Minnesota regional theatre premiere of the musical Kinky Boots.

Kenny says that because of his theatrical background, he always loves to interview people involved in the theatrical arts. Last fall, Kenny even got the opportunity to fly to New York City to report on a story backstage at Broadway’s & Juliet!
